1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any FinalOut calculator, guide, or tool, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. What FinalOut Is

FinalOut provides educational military transition planning tools only. It is not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), or any government agency. Nothing on this platform constitutes legal advice, medical advice, financial advice, VA representation, or a guaranteed benefit outcome. See our Disclaimer for tool-specific limitations.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials. You must be 18 or older to create an account. Do not enter Social Security numbers, upload medical records or DD214s, or provide detailed medical information — the platform is not certified to store this data.

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from Account Settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or to violate any regulation
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or systematically extract data from the platform
• Submit AI-generated content from FinalOut as official, legal, medical, or VA communication without review by a qualified professional
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform's infrastructure

5. Free Service and Supporter Subscription

FinalOut's core planning tools, calculators, and guides are free. An optional Supporter subscription ($5/month or $50/year, billed through Stripe) removes ads and unlocks additional plan and career-tool limits — see Pricing for current details. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled and are billed in advance; cancel anytime from Account Settings to stop future renewals. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.

6. Advertising

Free-tier pages may display contextual advertising and clearly labeled affiliate or sponsored links. Ads do not appear on your dashboard, saved plans, VA planning, records, reminders, or export pages. Supporter subscribers see no ads anywhere on the platform.

7. No Warranty

FinalOut is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that calculations, estimates, or eligibility determinations shown on the platform are complete, current, or error-free. Always verify official figures with your branch Personnel Command, DFAS, the VA, or a qualified professional before making decisions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FinalOut and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including reliance on any estimate, calculation, or guide content. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
